The Allman Brothers always draw a passionate crowd at the venue formerly known as Great Woods, and this show was no exception! Check out the crowd response on the opening “Statesboro Blues” for a taste of the electric energy that made this show one to remember.

The ABB played their third new song of the tour, premiering a smoky version of “It Hurts Me Too” with Boston native and hometown favorite Susan Tedeschi on guitar and vocals. This Elmore James blues classic never sounded better! Ratdog sax player Kenny Brooks also joined the fun for a jazzy “Desdemona” that reached epic heights, and for the second time on the tour “Rockin’ Horse” was jammed out to unheard-of lengths.

For many fans, the highlight of the whole evening was the classic combo of “Elizabeth Reed” and “Whipping Post” which closed the show with a bang. Smokin’ hot!
