What a day and night and early morning of celebration on St. Patrick's Day! In the afternoon we got treated to an incredible performance at the 20th Anniversary HTN Party by Randall Bramblett, Geoff Achison, Yonrico Scott and Ted Pecchio. Thanks to everyone who came out and sold-out this event! Later on in the evening The Allman Brothers Band had one of their "epic" performances - with very special guest that absolutely left everyone thrilled. And, to round it off, Jaimoe's Jasssz Band played into the wee, wee hours of the morning at the Iridium after the show. One of the finest days of music we have seen in a long, long time.
While we don't have CDs to sell you of the HTN or JJB performances there were tapers at both events and I'm sure those CDs will be in circulation soon. What we do have to offer you is one of the best performances of the run by the ABB - an absoutely stunning night showcasing the versatility of this Allstar band!
Of historical note - Southern Man marked the first time none of the original members were present during the playing of a "full band" song at an ABB peformance.
The Allman Brothers Band:
Gregg Allman - keys, vocals
Butch Trucks - drums
Jaimoe - drums
Oteil Burbridge - bass
Marc Quinones - percussion
Derek Trucks - guitar
Warren Haynes - guitar, vocals
