This show is like two shows in one: The first half is full of deep cuts and rarely played classics, while the second half delivers powerful versions of some of the ABB's most popular and well-known material.

The opening sequence of "Done Somebody Wrong," "Come and Go Blues" and "End Of The Line" proved beyond a doubt that Gregg Allman was back to 100% after his recent motorcycle accident. His voice has never sounded better, and he didn't need any help from Danny Louis on keys for the first time this tour.

JoJo Hermann of Widespread Panic added some extra piano punch to solid versions of "The Weight" and "Key To The Highway," providing just the right touch of roadhouse boogie-woogie flavor. Panic bassist Dave Schools got in on the fun with a version of "Dreams" that ranks among the best of recent years. Between Schools' rock-solid, Allen Woody-ish thumping and Derek's soaring slide leads, this "Dreams" can stand proudly next to any other version. A night full of guests continued as John Bell of Widespread alternated verses with Gregg on a swinging take of "Highway 61 Revisited" that got the crowd moving.

After playing a fairly exotic setlist full of rarities for most of the show, the ABB finished with three of their best-known concert staples. "Melissa" had the crowd singing along to every word, "Jessica" brought the house down with peak-filled jam after jam, and the "One Way Out" encore with Jimmy Herring on guitar finished off the night with authority.

A great show with something for everyone!
